The provider of the tool is Hu-manity Rights Inc, 300 Carnegie Center, Suite 150, Princeton, NJ, New Jersey 08540, USA (hereinafter “Hu-manity Rights Inc.”). When you enter our website, a connection is established to the servers of Hu-manity Rights Inc. in order to obtain your consent and other declarations regarding the use of cookies. Cookies

We use so-called “cookies” on our travel portal. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard disk. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. We can use the information contained in cookies to make navigation easier for you and enable our web pages to be displayed correctly.

Use of Gravatar

We use the Gravatar service within our online offering and in particular in the blog. Gravatar is a service where users can register and store profile pictures and their email addresses. If users leave posts or comments on other online presences (especially in blogs) with the respective e-mail address, their profile pictures can be displayed next to the posts or comments. For this purpose, the e-mail address provided by the users is transmitted to Gravatar in encrypted form for the purpose of checking whether a profile is stored for it. This is the sole purpose of transmitting the e-mail address. It will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted afterwards.

Gravatar is used on the basis of our legitimate interests, as we use Gravatar to offer post and comment authors the opportunity to personalize their posts with a profile picture. By displaying the images, Gravatar learns the IP address of the user, as this is necessary for communication between a browser and an online service.

If users do not want a user picture linked to their email address at Gravatar to appear in the comments, they should use an email address that is not stored at Gravatar to comment.

We would also like to point out that it is also possible to use an anonymous e-mail address or no e-mail address at all if users do not wish their own e-mail address to be sent to Gravatar. Users can completely prevent the transfer of data by not using our commenting system; service provider: Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd, Grand Canal Dock, 25 Herbert Pl, Dublin, D02 AY86, Ireland; Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR); Website: https://automattic.com; Privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy.

Embedded YouTube videos

We have embedded YouTube videos on some pages of our portal. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching YouTube videos. Youtube with the plugin WP Youtube Lyte

This website integrates videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube with the help of the WP Youtube Lyte plugin. This means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. The preview images of the videos are stored locally on our server.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your end device after starting a video or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG.
